The International Association for Democracy (IAD) is an NGO that works to defend and advance democracy around the globe. We link people with their governments and lobby governments to promote, strengthen and safeguard democratic institutions, processes, norms and values at home and abroad. We also work towards raising public awareness about the current state of democracy around the world and what should be done to better defend and promote democracy.
IAD is looking for a Social Media Officer to join our vibrant Social Media team and help us promote IAD’s message across our social media accounts. This role is expected to take 3-5 hours per week.
Objectives of this Role

Maintain and update the website’s content according to IAD’s current needs.

Attend regular calls to coordinate your activities with the rest of IAD.

Support other IAD members with technical challenges.
Skills and Qualifications

Passion for promoting democracy, rule of law and human rights as well as IAD’s mission
-
Experience in email marketing and CRM management, with a strong understanding of email deliverability, segmentation, and A/B testing
-
Proficiency in managing customer databases and working with CRM systems
-
In-depth knowledge of website cookies and experience ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
-
Familiarity with SEO principles and experience conducting SEO analysis using relevant tools
-
Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and data integrity

Proficiency in email marketing platforms and CRM software (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

Basic understanding of Google Workspace and collaboration tools on Google Docs
