The International Association for Democracy (IAD) is an NGO that works to defend and advance democracy around the globe. We link people with their governments and lobby governments to promote, strengthen and safeguard democratic institutions, processes, norms and values at home and abroad. We also work towards raising public awareness about the current state of democracy around the world and what should be done to better defend and promote democracy.
IAD is looking for a Social Media Officer to join our vibrant Social Media team and help us promote IAD’s message across our social media accounts. This role is expected to take 3-5 hours per week.
Objectives of this Role

Prepare IAD posts for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter on topics relating to democracy, adding value to our audience and driving channel growth

Prepare images for social media posts using Canva (training provided)

Suggest topics IAD should post on

Engage with relevant content using IAD’s social media pages
Skills and Qualifications

Previous experience with social media (in personal or professional capacity)

Passion for democracy, rule of law and human rights
Preferred Qualifications

Can generate engaging infographics and videos
